He Feng

He Feng was the warlord of the mong-bal He Clan and the former master of Itthis. His city was known and feared throughout Mong Bal for its prodigious use of Veiled assassins. Despite his participation in the brutal slave-trade of Veiled, He Feng acted more like a father to Itthis than an owner. He was well-loved by his subjects and retainers and had a reputation as a wise ruler.   He Feng did not care for the politics of other Mong Bal, preferring instead to manage affairs on the home front, while letting his eldest son, He Jun, manage affairs of inter-clan politics in Jin City. On one trip to the capitol He Jun convinced his father to strike a deal with the Hanuman Brotherhood to procure a veiled priestess who could lead Veiled through a puberty ritual that would allow He Feng's charges to live longer and become stronger.   He Feng sent Itthis on the mission, but found himself double-crossed by both the Hanuman Brotherhood and his son, resulting in a deadly coup against him for control of the priestess and the He Clan. Itthis and the head of He Feng's guard, Han To, fled Jin City and swore vengeance against He Jun for the death of their master.
