Pathogen Vault

The pathogen vault is a vault containing twenty-three deadly plagues and viruses. The terrorist physician organization, the Pox Mundus controlled the vault and used it to threaten the system against cracking down on their illegal experiments and to extort Homyn lords to fund the Pox Mundus's medical breakthroughs.
After saving the Pox Mundus leader, Bastian Kendall's life, he entrusted it to the crew's physician and his former apprentic Aleph for safekeeping, allowing him to still use the threat of the vault to further his research while also ensuring he could never make good on his threats.
Aleph keeps the pathogen vault aboard the Nomad's infirmary, and in the process has added a few diseaeses to his collection, such as a bacteria that turns skin to stone when in contact with sunlight called helioschosis as well as the alteri virus, which causes subject to mutate and acquire the traits of other infected subjects.
