Skadi the Boreal Wind

A fox whose fur is made of crystalline snowflakes that freeze everything she touches. Skadi was said to be a companion of Shrike, the Geit patron saint of wind and chaos. It is said Shrike would send Skadi into his enemy’s camps to freeze them in advance of an attack. According to scholars, these myths likely arose from the Shrike tribe’s advanced understanding of weather patterns and practice of timing their raids on enemy tribes when blizzards would pass over.   Skadi was the familiar that the Lunar Brigade assigned to Ryld during his service there, and he carried her over to his adventures as a corsair.
