The Ancient Veiled Priestess

The ancient veiled priestess once led the Veiled people. In eras past, Veiled once travelled to the poles of Mong Bal on a pilgrimage during their adolescence. The priestesses of Mong Bal would perform a ritual in the snow that ushers them into adulthood.
When Mong Bal fell into ecological disaster, its snowcaps melted and the pilgrimages ceased, dooming what remained of the Veiled to shortened lives in a biological arrested development. However, the priestess used her connection to the most sacred form of life on Mong Bal, the Divine Banyan or the tree that binds space and time to visit chosen veiled in the planet's doomed future to continue the ritual during her time.
Itthis saw visions of the ancient priestess while visiting Jin City, causing him to collapse in the middle of the street with visions of walking up a snowy mountain lined with ancient totems. The priestess attempted to guide Itthis to her successor in the present, who could keep the tradition alive by awakening the ancestral memories of the pilgrimage in modern day Veiled. But Itthis's mission to rescue the modern priestess ended in failure and with the modern priestess captured by the Hanuman brotherhood, possibly dooming the entire veiled race.
