Imperial Araith is the most widespread dialect of Araith and the one accepted by most Kadarin scholars as the standard or official variant. It used to be one of the official languages of the Kadarin Empire, along with Volic.

The most significant figure in the history of Imperial elves is undoubtedly the first and last elven emperor, Alkaios Nikitis, who conquered a vast empire in the Second Age before dying without making any provision for inheritance.
