The child of two half-elves is a half-elf. The child of a half-elf and an elf is a half-elf unless the only human ancestry is more than 4 generations back. The child of a half-elf and a human is a half-elf unless the only elven ancestry is more than 4 generations back.

Half-elves mature at roughly human speed, although their elven blood means they may take a little longer to reach full adulthood.
