Most Honorable Order of the Girl Guides

Structure


The Most Honorable Order of the Girl Guides consists of three ranks, Knight Grand Cross, Knight Commander, and Companions. Knight Grand Cross this class was limited to 12 members, of which six could be appointed for civil or diplomatic services. The military members had to be of the rank of at least Marshal. Knights Commander was limited to 50 and had to have the rank of at least Knight Commander - Costani. Companions was not specified but you had to have earned at least a merit badge or a merit badge of Honorific.         Officers The Most Honorable Order of the Girl Guides now has six officers   Chancellor: Amelia Black

  Regular membership is limited to citizens of the Costania and its commonwealth area's of which the Queen is Sovereign. Appointees are usually officers of the armed forces or former girl guides. Companions appointed to the Civil Division must "by their personal services to the crown or by the performance of public duties have merited royal favor." Non-line officers (e.g. engineers, medics) may be appointed for meritorious service in or out of wartime provided the service helped the Girl Guides in such a manner to help the citizenry. Commonwealth citizens not subjects of the Queen and foreigners may be made Honorary Members but first must be made honorary members of the Girl Guides and have earn an honorary Merit Badges. Often though noncitizens are made Stranger Companions of the Most Honorable Order of the Girl Guides. Honorary members do not count towards the numerical limits in each class.   Members of the order are expected to dress nicely when attending royal events or engagements, often they are known to wear costumes during one of the four holidays for the Girl Guides or during the festival of sleepover. Each member of the Most Honorable Order of the Girl Guides is provided a medal which is designed in a fashion that it can be worn in military dress uniforms as a normal medal. The gold medal bears the insignia of the Girl Guides with a royal crown placed by hands from above. Members also receive a stall plate for their steed.   A ceremony is held at the Cathedral of Ecclessia every year to celebrate the members and contributions to the girl guides. All members are welcome to attend, with the exception of Stranger companions who are invited every four years. Blue smoke is seen from the chimney of the Cathedral. The exception is the main chimney which produces purple smoke in the year's new members are admitted to the order.

Culture


Membership allows Knights and Dames Grand Cross use the post-nominal "GCGG"; Knights Commander uses "KCGG"; Dames Commander use "DCGG"; Companions use "CGG" Knights and Dames Grand Cross are also entitled to receive heraldic supporters which are in the form of two Ravens supporting the family Herald. Further more Members of the Most Honorable Order of the Girl Guides and their children are able to be married in Cathedral of Ecclessia.      

Revocation


It is possible for membership in the Order to be revoked. Membership may be cancelled or annulled, and the entry in the register erased, by an ordinance signed by the Queen and sealed with the seal of the Order, on the recommendation of the Chancellor of the Girl Guides

History

This knightly order was created to honor those who have done a lot for the Girl Guides through out many years. They would be invited to the Festival of sleepover to presented with a medal for service.
