Derude Sandcrawler
The Elderly Yuan-ti Head Butler of the Twisting Palace. Derude's scales have lost their color and are now silver. He is usually seen wearing yellow robes. Derude has served there almost his entire life and seen Three different Emperors rise and fall, Though he has favored Empress Wu above all others he served. He is strict but fair with those who work under him, and most usually have generally good things to say about the elder Yuan-ti.
Graum and Derude have a working relationship as Graum makes a Dwarven ale that many of the Yuan-ti nobility enjoy. Derude also knows Eva and feels for her loss, and the tragedy that befell her family is one of the main reasons that Derude agreed to work as a spy for Wu during Orochi's reign as Emperor. It is thanks to his information that Wu was alerted to the shady things happening within the palace walls.
