Born into serfdom outside the Kaidian capital, Elizabeth "Ellie" Varro sought to make her family's life easier by hunting, when her family crosses a dangerous gang her father is imprisoned and she is driven off. While hiding in the forest she sees a Powerful Fey spirit, mistaking it for an elk that would fetch a large price enough to pay for her father's freedom she shoots Elk only to anger it and be cursed by the spirit.

Elie was born into a poor family in the town of romanshire, a town run by the high elves were gangs rule the streets and law enforcement is corrupt, her mother and father were well known beggars in the town and any money they had only went to the necessities that were needed. The area when elie had grown up was well known for being poor, the high elves would shove all the humans into their own subdivision because they were quote on quote “dirty and inferior” when the humans would try to apply for work they would either be turned down, or be paid extremely low amounts. Elie was around 8 years old when the leader of the most notorious gang, the streetlocks, tried to recruit her, telling her she would have protection for her family and would receive a large some of gold with every job she was given. The leader was a high elf, tall and skinny, his ears were long and pointed with a chunk missing from the one, elie never got his real name but he was well known in the streets, he would always go by the street name “sliver” . Elie refused, she knew the gang was no good and her parents raised her to always be honest. This angered the leader, and he told elie she had “made a Grave mistake” and to “watch her back”. When Elie was 10, her mother passed away leaving her father to take care of her alone, as a way for her to get away and clear her head her father took her out in the woods that surrounded the town to show her how to hunt. “This skill is what keeps food on the table and a little money to get us through the week” he would tell her. They would wait in the woods for hours just waiting for their trap to go off, her father with his crossbow ready. They would bring back a deer or two a month, but her father would never let her handel the crossbow. He would say things like “ you will be ready soon, it's just not time.” and “taking a life changes a person forever”. About 8 years later, Elie and her father were preparing for a hunting trip when there came a knock at the door. When her father answered the door he was greeted by three of the elven guards, suddenly he was grabbed by two guards and put in restraints. The guards forced him on his side saying “ Travis varo, Your crimes against nature will go on no longer! Who would have guessed? Only a Dirty human would commit a crime this idiotic!” the guards proceeded to beat travis. Elie hears the commotion and gos to investigate, as she steps out she is seen by the guards and her father “Elie run!” screams travis. Elie doesn't hesitate and sprints out the back door with all of the hunting gear and crossbow “after her!” one of the guards yells as the two others chase her. As elie make her way into the woods she can hear the guards chasing her, yelling for her to stop resisting arrest. Elie eventually finds a clearing in the trees and finds a hiding spot in some rocks. As the guards yells get farther and quieter elie peaks her head out and makes sure the coast is clear. As she looks around he sees that the guards are gone, but standing in the open field is a beautiful white furred elk, its antlers seeming to reach to the sky, and its ice blue eyes could look into your soul. Eli knew that with a pelt like that and antlers that big she would get enough money to be able to get her father out of prison and get her division out of poverty. Elie took aim at the elk and fired a single bolt, this bolt was all it took to take the beast down. With a loud thud the beast fell, elie approached the beast ready to drag it away. As elie stood over the beast she watched as it quickly deteriorate and beautiful, multi colored flowers grew in its place. She was devastated, the last bit of hope she had just melted into nothing. Elie fell to her knees but not in sadness, but in pain. Her left hand began to shift and change into a deer antler, She looked at the antler and screamed. She kneeled then she looked up, she was approached by a ghost of the elk who spoke to her. “Silvanas has sent me to you, the antler is your punishment for my death.”
She stared at the ghostly figure in awe. “Leave this place, and do not return unless you can repay your wrong doing.” elie stood up without a word and walked in the opposite direction through the woods. She now travels the land doing any odd job and completing hunting contracts to gain enough gold to get her people out of poverty and get her father out of jail.

Initially seeing Eva as only an attractive catch for her Libido, Ellie tried multiple times to get into bed with the older woman to no avail. The only progress that was made for her is when Eva has shown sympathy to Ellie's plight in Shin-Rin, and made a promise to help her new friend see her father again.
