Empress Wu Hebikon of the Blood of the Chosen was born into nobility of the yuan-ti in the capital city of Alqadima. As per tradition she was raised and taught in a commune with the other yuan-ti children of her age. As a child she did things differently than the other yuan-ti, she was compassionate and far more emotional. Her Charismatic nature allowed her to make friends easily, and when a Young human boy joined the commune she was the first to befriend him. This boy was Darius Quickhand and the two became very close friends in the 5 years he spent there with Wu.
After her graduation she was assigned to the palace to be groomed by her birth parents to be an Heiress and to contest the Serpents Throne one day. The day eventually came and the Emperor Sabaak chose her as his heir, though later in life he would grow to resent her but the choice had been made. Wu faced opposition from the moment she took the crown, but her skills at diplomacy and politics made her a shrewd and wise ruler no one could deny her that. For ten years she reigned as Empress, and Apohpia shed its isolationist ways and began to flourish. Most were happy with her rule but there still remained a hard-liner faction that opposed her. Supporters of the god Sseth were discontent with trading and cooperating with what they saw as lesser beings, and Soon Orochi, a blood relative of Wu would rise to power within their ranks and begin plotting to usurp the throne from her.
Orochi eventually succeeded and took the throne from her forcing her to flee. She would not be defeated so easily though and soon began to gather allies and supporters around her and begin planning to retake the throne. Her Old Friend Darius Would return to her in her time of need now an accomplished soldier and leader of men. A fellow Yuan-ti she once saved from a life of abuse by her masters named Lynn also would come into her service. Lynn would come to serve her as an Envoy and Friend, and she would send her to Ryndall the Opal Knight in hopes of courting favor with the Dwarves of the Barony of Stone. Derude her former head butler continued to spy for her from within the palace itself, and Wu would hear begin to hear whispers of Orochi's plans this way.
It soon became clear that Wu would have to kill her Nephew to retake the throne and she began to prepare herself for the task when a group of strangers escorting Lynn back to here appeared. They Led by a disciple of the Opal knight named Jericho swore to aid her, and his companions reluctantly agreed. The more hands the better, now her dear Darius wouldn't have to attempt the task alone. While they prepared she left to rally her supporters to storm the palace in case they failed and to secure the throne if they succeeded.
Succeed they did However, everyone returned Injured but alive. Jericho carrying the corpse of Orochi on his shoulders. She had it impaled and it became her banner as her forces finished taking over the palace. Now She deals with the Aftermath from her Ravaged Throne and Continues her Rule as Empress of Apohpia. Since then the kingdom has begun to change, hopefully for the better as vestiges of the past are whittled away slowly and progress begins to march forward.
