CD Issue 11: The End of the World

General Summary

Still shook by their encounter at the Soulforge, the Dissidents encountered Nona who had watching the trial and was there to guide them to the next trial. A long narrow bridge extended across a sea of stars.
While the team caught their breath, Nona gave the team some advice on what they discovered. Richie, who never takes advice well, did not take the advice well. His anger flared out of the control, his armor swirling back and becoming huge and dangerous. He punched the bridge in anger, and it crumbled beneath them. The team ran for the next door, and Richie managed to cool down enough to fit through the person sized door.
Inside they saw a broad arena surrounded by a circle of stones. Within The Henge two magical heroes waged magical war: Augur and Bohemian. Bohemian was soundly defeated, and a third mage introduced herself as Pizzaz, leader of the trio also known as the Prodigies. The third sister, Mortha (an old chrone), was present but silent. As soon as they saw Morta, they noticed Nona was gone.
Augur threw some shade at Paladin. Pizzaz did the same at Siren. Pizzaz challenged Siren to combat in the Henge, but Morta spoke and said that Siren would be facing The Cryptid. Pizzaz was not pleased since fighting the Cryptid was an advanced activity and Siren just showed up and wasn't even a student.
The Cryptid shape shifted around Sirens magic, absorbing it and becoming more powerful. Siren cut loose with all her power, defeating the Cryptid and punching a hole in the Worldwall. All sorts of metapowered creatures poured through lead by a giant monster called The Predator. The battle was long and hard, but the team defeated the creature, beheading it when the breach closed.

Rewards Granted

Aliena took two new abilities as an advancement from the Outsider playbook. She chose Shadow Portal from the Legacy, and Vitality Absorption from the Doomed. (This should be interesting, given that they are opposite of her original abilities.) This has yet to be revealed in narrative.
Paladin took 'Before we get started' from the Soldier.
Siren took 'Santuary' from the doomed as it made narrative sense. This has yet to be revealed in narrative.
