Stronghold
In its prime, the Stronghold was a heavily guarded research embassy of The End to the Overworld. Its location deep underground was not widely broadcasted, so there were no visitors while it was open; this was used to justify its closing and abandonment.
It has libraries containing copies of books regarding early Enderian culture, technology, and legal documents; most of these were left behind upon its closing.
The End Portal was disabled upon the stronghold's closure by one researcher who volunteered to be left behind (Edward) in order to continue research and on the off chance the portal needed to be reopened.
Purpose / Function
Originally created as a research outpost for the Ender community in the Overworld, it has long since been shut down and left to deteriorate.
