Almayla High Court
There are 3 Royal Courts that support the Emperor in ruling Almyla. These courts appoint ruling families to each province. The Court has an appointed ruler from the High families within their provinces, this leader will forgo all assets and lands withing their province and lives in the capital palace as a member of the High Court of Almayla.
The High Court:
The members are selected annually on the first Moonless night after the Frost festival. This allows time for houses to hold their High Crest Balls to jokey for elections. Members of the High Court have great influence over the empires inner workings but they are not allowed to hold their own assets or lands until they leave the High Court.
Chair - is the appointed leader from the Capital Regions, this is the same as the appointments from the Territories.
Lead Chairs - an appointed leader from each of the recognized territories within Almayla
Sub Chairs - A selected member of by a Lead Chair from a territory not their own. This chair is to act as the second or assistant to their lead chair.
Second Chair - is the previous chair and will only be excused from he Court by death or replacement by the Lead Chair taking their place by having a new Lead Chair being elected. If a second chair their closest heir will take their place.

History Chair - (Amaranth Chair) The Amaranth Monks have represented this chair since its formation. Their order has the greatest pull for this chair and the secrets collected over the centuries has kept them in the High Court out of fear.
