Akadi
Originally a seafaring people from Eshia, founding Zolos on their way south, Akadi eventually made their way to the tropical coastline of the Jezerae Straights around 300 AFR. The Eshian colonists started mixing with the local tribes of the Tarisi Dunes and the Sahanadan Sands. Ashamus the Golden, considered the father of Akadi culture, founded Taris after conquering Jeznehar, Atana, and almost the entirety of what is now Akad and Zur. The Akadi people now span from Zolos toAnephis, from Zaddinar to the Crimson Chasm in the East. Akadi merchants and slavers, however, range the globe as one of the peoples with the strongest navies.
The ethnicity shares blood with Erudite and Eovoresh, and often has light brown skin, hazel or golden eyes, and thick, wavy or curly hair. Both men and women are of average height and build for Humans, and mostly prefer white or bright colored, patterned fabrics. Men tend to grow thick beards and women wear their hair long and braided, both often oiled with perfume. Consummate hagglers and bureaucrats of every level and creed, Akadis excel at business and are famously ruthless in negotiations, often to the consternation of other peoples.
The official language of Akad and the Akadi people is Akadian, using the Akadi Alphabet.
