The World Anvil
"If the Great God used the World Anvil to create the world, He could easily use it to destroy it." -Ancient Voy Diurne proverb "Making a beautiful sword is great for the sword, not so pleasant for the lump of iron that has to be burned and beaten for days." -Common Lasskyr sayingThe World Anvil is a mythical forge of immense size that is thought by some to be the center piece of The Cataclysm of the Shattered. Ancient stories conflict as to its location and physical description but it is typically thought to be a massive, flat, circular stonework anywhere from 100 to 1000 paces across. Some stories locate it on a mountaintop and some say it is deep underground. The most common theory is that it was used to destroy the Tormangi continent and was itself broken apart and its pieces now lie buried under the ocean floor amidst the islands of The Shattered. Fueling the World Anvil during the Cataclysm is said to have been a collection of Arcanum Crystals so large it's almost impossible to conceive of. Some estimates would say that the amount of sculpted Arcanum Crystals needed to destroy a continent would fill the holds of a hundred barges. However, any serious attempts to calculate that much magical power normally initiates a visit by a team from either The Chain or the Arcanum Guild which results in a sudden cessation of all research. As with all things that both destroy and create, much of the focus leans towards what can be destroyed. But the World Anvil is sometimes associated with the Great God himself as the means by which Creation came into being. While it is not canon according to The Order of the Eight, some of the outlying religions say that the Great God took The Lantern out of the sky and slammed it down on the World Anvil. It was by this act that all of The Eight dropped into place. Heresy, clearly, but any craftsman will tell you that creation and destruction always go hand in hand.

I do picture my two Eternals going into the World Anvil and crafting Koria. Or other worlds, both playing with each other, exploring ideas and concepts. The small tinkering of tools and the crashing of hammers weaved into a melody of the ancients. An extraordinary idea, small in its concept, written down on the side of a paper, executed so well, it is so natural as it was ever there. Well done, well done.
Thank you so much for the comment, sorry I just now saw it. I'm not very good at the World Anvil comment thingies.
