Direct descendent of Yiffnar the Snake and King of Bealutor. Coming to the throne early, Effan is the longest reigning monarch of the House of Yiffnar. Having fought his love early, he was married at the age of 15. For over ten years, none of this children survived their childhood, making the king believe that his bloodline was cursed. In RY 771, his son Rowan Yiffnar was born, whom he treasured. To keep at least one heir to his house, Effan spoiled his only surviving son. Later after the death of his queen and the love of his life, Effan married again. Two different woman gave him his two daughters Fiona Yiffnar and Meliatha Yiffnar, Queen of Verice. During his reign, Yiffnar partook in little warfare, except against their rival neighbor. Through trade with Jaden, Balutor has become plenty and rich. In RY 805, Effan died complaining about a sudden pain in his abdomen. It was strongly rumored that it was his only son, Rowan, who was impatient to take the throne.
