Irava'te

Irava'te is a tradition that occurs randomly within the elves of Velaris. 
Often times, Selune will choose a person in a generation of a family to send out into the world of Creostrana for a rite of passage. This passage can include slaying a beast, retrieiving an artifact, mastering a type of magic etc etc.
This rite of passage is to secure a position of power in Velaris, and prove your dedication to the teachings of Selune.
