Yaksha

Tiefling cousins with an bred-in lust for battle, these beings look more like ash covered demons than tieflings. Their brawny bodies oft hold several scars from a lifetime of battles which they show off with bare skin whenever possible. Yaksha, formerly called yaksha demons, live in small villages on the Ring of Kagutsuchi peninsula, in southeast Nalchaa, where their kind originated from. Their clans are the center of their lives and most clans eagerly welcome the challenge the harsh environment brings as they seek physical and spiritual strength. Those abroad live solitary nomadic lives more often than not, largely because of their aggressive nature and lust to fight anything in sight frightening other races, and partly due to a reputation for foul breath. Most yaksha die young and in combat. Those who don't often become teachers of combat or philosophy, both hoping to improve their kin's survival rate.   Despite their violent nature they keep close ties with the diaboli, accepting of their grotesque appearance. When a yaksha finds a lover they're often a longtime ally in battle. They have naturally thick skin which helps protect them in battle and walking barefoot is harsh lands if they become druids. Some grow up in orphanages or with a non-yaksha parent who retired from battle which can result in their lifestyles straying from the norm. Most Yaksha prefer melee combat though some are proudly spellcasters seeking great magical power.   Alignment: Usually any chaotic or evil and true neutral when venerable.   Grey skin makes a yaksha's black mane look like shadowy tendrils, though it may be red hair or sliver in rare cases, as well. Their eyes are dark garnet, steely blue, or sulfur yellow in almost every member and the sclera are sometimes black. Often scantily clad, a yaksha's muscles are toned and rippling no mater their mass. On or behind the temples sit their 2 sleek iconic horns of 3-6 inch length, pointing forward and toward the heavens. Usually there's one steer like curve, but some horns curve twice, some have colored tips, and some add piercings, engravings, or jewelry as decorations .   The names of yaksha are often unaffectionate descriptions of their appearance or ominous titles. Kurono, Yami, Gyakusatsu, Busho, and Hi no Kokoro.
