Lady Lark is a celebrated Scarlet Wood psychic, who enjoyed packing a picnic for her hawks and jumping a train to Crooked Mile. But that was before the Six Year War. Now she grumbles aloud that village has grown to large, and her hawks are not safe around cat owners. She keeps them home when she visits Crooked Mile.
She visits Crooked Mile, because so many of her customers live in the village region. There is less competition for her services. First and foremost she is a business woman. And she is an honest medium, who wants to protect her reputation. Even the town committee comes to listen to her readings. Lady Lark is the first person they think of inviting when they plan a holiday or event.
Circle Founder, Jason Garamund and Lady Lark are long time friends. She regularly visited the Seasway Resort Hotel during Jason's childhood. She never seemed to grow a day older. She confessed to him that she was 137. He believes that is an exaggeration, but he doesn't ignore the fact his parents also met her when they were children.

Her solutions for nearly ailment is herbs and salves she learned to make while living with her grandparents in South Soffit. During those times, she says parts of South Soffit were gated off for alchemists and soothsayers. Her father claimed he could churn Glass Sea shells into gold and predict the future too. Her grandmother said that if he could, they would live in the gated neighborhood. Instead they rented an apartment in a reasonably priced brownstone.
The brownstone is a ruin now. Lady Lark moved to the Woods and set up shop long before her grandparents' home became rubble. When Jason asks her to make visits in South Soffit to see old friends, she always declines the offer. The war and what led to the war continues to plague her.
