in Crooked Mile PortmanteauNeutral actors are non-player characters are cast often. Their indifference toward the Circle does not assure neutral characters are one-dimensional. They often have dubious or even criminal histories that make lead to complicated conversations with Player characters. And not every neutral is available when they are most needed. They have their own lives that make a narrative adventure interesting and assignments challenging. "What you expect or suspect is not always what you get."
Crooked Mile Circle (aka the name chosen by players for their Circle) investigators are invited to interview allied actor witnesses and suspects. Their information is an option Lightkeepers and player characters can choose to utilize.
With the exception of non-player adversaries non-player characters will answer an investigator honestly, but sometimes, conflicting information will need to be verified.
