Ice Crystal

The Ice Crystal is one of eight Elemental Crystals, whose formation coincided with that of the world itself. A powerful force of nature, its presence helps keep the world at balance, allowing life as people know it to grow and prosper. It does this by radiating chills into the atmosphere, keeping the planet from melting without it having to be as cold as the vacuum of space. It has a distinctive light-blue color to it. It is considered one of the "Four Lost Crystals" due to its original master being killed by the forces of the Dark Lord before it could be awakened. As a result, it laid dormant for a millennium until a new generation of warriors could fully restore its power. In the case of the Ice Crystal, that hero was a man named Marty--a seemingly ordinary late adolescent from the future who traveled back in time with the other modern "Lost Warriors" to save their future from the Dark Lord's return.

Significance

The Ice Crystal was formed alongside the seven other Elemental Crystals:  Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Holy, and Dark. The Ice Crystal in particular helps to stabilize the planet's climate. It is said that if the Ice Crystal was to ever be destroyed, global warming would wither the planet dry and lifeless within a matter of years. According to legend, the Ice Crystal was split from the Water Crystal when its own power became too much for it to handle. As a result, Ice is often associated with youth in Crystalia.
