Captain of the Bergemart housed Mercenary Corp: The "Rattlers", highest ranking member of the corp after the events of the last year.

Originally having joined the Rattlers expecting easy pay and easy life, Ermis a local country boy, quickly became acquainted with the harsh nature of combat during an ambush of an Orcish raid. Having nearly survived the endeavor. As it turned out, Ermis' father was a senior member in the Rattlers and concerned by what'd happened pulled some string and Ermis found himself being promoted to captain if only in the title.
Many of the other mercs saw Ermis for what he really was, and Ermis found himself tending to the admin side of things, which he didn't mind. With time his skills grew and he even managed to get some respect from his peers.
When the Orcish attacks started, Ermis quickly found himself once more in the heat of things, tending to the dying and wounded. After initially struggling with this new reality, Ermis grew into his new responsibilities and many owed their lives to him, but the once easy-going young man grew bitter and nihilistic but also devoted to the cause he sacrificed his soul for.
Now, after a year of hardship, with many of the veterans dead, dismissed, or left for greener pastures Ermis now runs the remnants of the Rattlers, managing the small garrison, and making sure the town is saved.
