Aurorae

Part of a series of magic-tech created by Rebel Civin organisation known as RebelTech , the Aurorae is an ear cuff which can be worn on stretched or pierced ears. Its magic signature is attuned to the wearer’s and recognises their fingerprints/DNA, activating when they tug gently on the section attached to their lobe.

Utility

Once active, the Aurorae detects magic signatures in the air and sends signals to the user’s eye, allowing them to see where people may be. This differs from regular technologies such as infra-red as it specifically searches for the magic signature unique to humans and faekind, revealing itself as a swirling coloured mist to the user's eyes. This is often used by rebels to find refugees trapped or hiding, but it isn't unheard of for other factions to steal and utilise the technology themselves to find criminals or enemy faction members. For this reason, the technology is a closely-guarded secret that has not yet been cracked by other factions.
