Westbrook
Westbrook (also known as Section F) is a town-fortress built on a naturally occurring set of hills overlooking Night City from across Del Coronado Bay, and with North Oak below.
Westbrook only borders North Oak - to the west, south, and southeast.
Westbrook is a very genteel and well-manicured fortress. Many of the corporate rich have expansive homes here, and their expansive security makes sure that nothing disturbs them. This is guaranteed by an Arasaka services contract. All Westbrook residences also boast specially coded, skin-implanted identity chips with at least three checkpoints on the road into the hills and several surface-toair missile sites to make sure all air vehicles also have the proper IFF codes.
All traffic is heavily monitored - it is nearly impossible to bypass the security of any location, and one must go through at least three checkpoints before reaching the residential compound. You can also forget about going overland as Apex systems dot the countryside, and even the walking paths are guarded. The computer system is programmed by security to allow only chip owners to pass safely by.
Most of the executives working for the largest corporations in Night City live here, including VPs and Execs from Arasaka, EBM, and Petrochem, as well as many prominent Night City personalities, such as Eran Malour or Isabel Vargas. Admission to Westbrook is only limited in one way, you've got to be able to afford it. In short, only very wealthy people can afford to live here.
In addition, Westbrook is well-known as a very safe place for corporations to place their high extraction-risk employees. There has only been one extraction attempt in its history, and that left three AV-4s destroyed and 24 Militech soldiers dead; it was the first—and last—attempted extraction at Westbrook through the entire 2010s. Some say that this incident was what started the long-running rivalry between the Night City branches of Arasaka and Militech.
