History
Hitomi and Jiāying met in college, and bonded over their shared interest in cyborgs. Hitomi saw Jiāying's interest as an opportunity, and offered to help her acheive her dream. They worked together on designing AI and two robots along with robotic prosthetics. The two ended up dating alongside their collaberation, and spent most of their freetime together. Jiāying ended up breaking up with Hitomi in early 2015 following a fight where she accused Hitomi of using her and ignoring everything but their work together. They haven't interacted since, while Hitomi has had others attempt to reach out to Jiāying on her behalf, Jiāying has avoided anything involving Hitomi. Both have somewhat conflicted opinions on eachother. Hitomi thinking Jiāying annoying and childish, but begrudgingly respecting her intelligence and competence, and Jiāying wishing she could forget the whole thing, but having reminders grafted to her body.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Hitomi and Jiāying are both interested in robotics and cyborgs. Jiāying specifically had a (Perhaps somewhat misguided) childhood dream of being a cyborg herself, spending most of her childhood reading comics about robots and cyborgs going on cool adventures. Hitomi was more than happy to help Jiāying fulfill this goal, and they worked together for the duration of their time in college.
