All that glitters isn't Gold

General Summary
The Adventurers had a discussion with Atiel concerning the history and knowledge that the Gold Roses were willing to share. Auxi, noting that one of the individuals whispered only in Atiel's ear when informing her of something, accused Atiel of being a pawn to this individual, that he was truly the leader of the Gold Roses. Atiel responded by pouring him a strong drink, blue in color, and toasting their shared goal, informing him that she truly was the leader of the Gold Roses and the boy, Finasaer Kevadirtinu, one of her top agents.
Atiel then began to disclose some of her personal history and why she founded the Gold Roses.
She had witnessed the sacrifice of a young elf some 30 years before outside Edstow. At the time she was working as a sort of transportation supervisor. She would arrange guard, pay fees and taxes, hire wagons, and sometimes grease palms if necessary to facilitate ground transport for merchants leaving Edstow. During the evening of a particularly small transport, her team was beset upon by a group that slew all but one of her guards. They abducted a young elf that was traveling with them. Atiel and the guard pursued. From the bushes, the guard burst into the clearing attempting to save the girl, but was immediately vaporized. Atiel sat horrified watching as the Cult of the Fanged Eye sacrificed the girl. She followed the cultists after their rituals were complete, tracking them back to Edstow and losing them between Edstow Plaza and Gudwep Park.
She later began working at the docks, finding half-orcs, elves, and some humans that had run-ins with the cult previously. She began to gather a group of confidants and friends to out the threat. She met a young Forthwind Keenseeker during this time and began to support his political endeavors, beginning to believe some of the noble class may be working against the general population of Edstow, and even fewer still a part of the Cult. During one transport inspection, she discovered young Finasaer in the hold of a ship. Her team tracked the by as he left the city. The cult abducted the crate and took him to be sacrificed. She closed in on them with her team and killed the lot, rescuing the boy before he could be killed. From there she fled to the foothills to Cedric Serpentwind, her now second in command's cottage. Finasaer witnessed some horrors and trusts only Atiel, and speaks to her alone.
Finasaer now leads the dock workers scouting for manifests and packages that may contain items being transported for the cult. It was revealed that he had witnessed two items of interest recently:
- A gnome that transported an Elven girl traveling East out of the city. The hired wagon had two passengers and nearly a dozen hired mercenaries.
- A strange package separated from a shipment of primarily dry goods. The small box was stowed away and sealed shut, but came with instructions to leave it for the dockmaster. An agent followed the package and reported it was delivered to a young woman with a strange bridge to her nose.
