The Mournlands

The Mournlands were previously territories held by The sultanate of Oth, The Empire of Drennen, and the Stormlands. During the final major battle of the The Great Wars a great cataclysm took place here that was heard around the world. Everyone in these territories died (or so it is assumed). The land is now surrounded by a miasma of souls and anyone who enters never returns. No one knows what caused this but everyone believes that their adversaries in the Great Wars are responsible. Some learned men have speculated that it might be growing.
The Creation of the Mournlands ended the Great Wars and now the continent is stuck in an uneasy peace permeated by fear.
