Sunflower Maul

The Sunflower Maul, aka Fleur is a unique, two-handed morningstar with the reach of a poleax or halberd. It was forged in the mid-third century S.A by Sir Doré Bournival of Shatterspike Mountain during his time as part of the Warriors Five for Lady Fauna Innis, and is partly responsible for the Lady's later title of 'Sunbringer'.

Properties

Fleur is a +3 weapon with Reach and deals radiant damage on a hit. It is particularly effective against the likes of Fiends and Undead, and glows with a holy light powerful enough to burn Vampires, Shadows and other creatures of the night.

Location

While most weapons of legend are hidden away, Fleur's location is as well known as the weapon itself. It currently sits buried in glass in the Plains of Arishat, in East Bharazad. Legend tells that the weapon cannot be lifted from its resting place, save by one the Sunbringer herself would deem worthy.

History

The Fall of the Sunbringer

Decades after the dissolution of Lady Innis' adventuring, The Warriors Five, she pitted herself against the incursion of servants of the Mad God. She fought valiantly and succeeded in rebuking the demon lord, but only at the cost of her own life.

Creation

Fleur was originally forged from a shard of pure light, pulled from the skull of a captive shadowfiend, imprisoned in the desolate realm of The Shadowfell. Once forged, Fleur was used to slay the Languora Demon and end its torment of Dumont.
