East Bharazad

East Bharazad is a large, arid land of sand, dusty cliffs and immense dragons. It is the only province without a unified government, though the halflings of West Bharazad lay claim to it. In the distant past, the entirety of East Bharazad belonged to the draconian Empire of Emberhold.

Inhabitants

Most sapient, mortal folk of East Bharazad are dragonborn of various hues, travelling in 'Dragonflights'--nomadic tribes that wander the sands and cliffs of the province. For a complete list of Bharazad's dragonflights, see Lineages by Region.   Native dragonborn aside (see below), a relatively large population of humans have sprung up New Vialago, stemming from Cambrian and Bedegarian expatriates enlisting into the ranks of the The Reliquary Knights.

Settlements

  • New Vialago. A quiet village erected by the refugees of Old Vialago after their homes were ravaged by the Mad God Yeenoghu. Holymen often travel here in search of the Sunflower Maul, Fleur. The city is effectively run by the The Reliquary, operating out of Davenmour Keep.
  • Landmarks

  • Druid's Gully. A once-dry wasteland of sand and dust, rejuvenated and nourished by a powerful druid over centuries.
  • Palace of the Blazing Dawn. Though the palace itself exists in the Plane of Fire, an entrance to this ancient temple of Juno opens in Harenhal Vale once a year, on the summer solstice.
  • King's Canyon. A lush respite from the arid deserts of the Great Arena. King's Canyon is a fissure in the sand shelters those within from the sun's harshest rays, and collects rainwaters. The canyon has turned into a narrow, winding jungle embedded into the Great Arena and is often the choice of travel route for east-west caravans. It's home to basilisks, wyverns and treacherous plant life.
  • The Glass Fields . What was once a stretch of sandy desert is now a field of crystalline glass, the result of Yeenoghu's defeat by the first wielder of the Sunflower Maul.
