Their skeleton are made of cartilage. This is strong and durable, yet much more flexible and lighter than bone. Being lighter helps to stay afloat and reduces the amount of energy they need to move about. The flexibility of cartilage also allows them to make tight turns quickly, even with the converted sea the observers can say they swim fast.
The only studied specimen show that the morphology of the sharks change, at least the eyes and the gills; the first, became empty without nerves or other distinctive features: Only a white ball; the gills, became inhert, as a organ that has no use anymore.
The other thing the study reveals is that the skin and the cartilage skeleton became, somehow, harder; was an odissey penetrate it, but don't protect againts the corrosion of the black void: Is porous and disolves other things "protected" by it.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Shcoolar still ara baffled that they can survive in this magical/cursed enviroment.
As the eyes became useless in a normal enviroment the schoolars think they develop a more accurate hearing because the cartilage tubes in the ear of the studied specimen are bigger than other normal sharks.
