Disciples of the Collective - Marra war

Also known by the names of the Disciple Rebellion and the Attack of the Collective the Disciples of the Collective - Marra war was a rebellion of the followers of the Church of the Great Mind hiding inside the various settlements of Marra.

The Conflict

Prelude

Following the Marra - Dreamwalk war and Marra surrendering their Surface territories to Dreamwalk the nation started entering a spiral of weakness, while the cult was busy recruiting members and holding ceremonies away from the distracted leadership's eyes.

Deployment

According to incomplete records the cult was first seen inside the Sewers of Wanzhold, where we presume they started their attack from. While Wanzhold fell almost instantly, the other two settlements took a bit of time to follow.

Battlefield

Wanzhold fell immediately during the night and early morning of the attack, so most of the battles took place in Bilta and Réskehold. Contributing to this was their recent states where Réskehold was too large to occupy quickly, and Bilta's streets were difficult to navigate.

Conditions

The situation looked dire for Marra due to the cult's numbers constantly growing as they gained popularity - the Dali feared their retribution and it seemed like their victory was evident any day.

Outcome

The purge of non-believers, the conversion of citizen. The Erni'en family was hunted down, captured, and executed.

Aftermath

The rise of the Church of the Great Mind.
