High Dwarf (haɪ dwɔːf)
Usually the title of the leader of one of the Dwarvish Holds, but nowadays it is mostly a title used for Dwarf Rulers in places where only Dwarves can rule.
Requirements
You must be a Dwarf.
Appointment
The heir with the most supporting Lords becomes the next High Dwarf. It is also within law that a Lord can also become High Dwarf if they gather more support than any of the heirs. On ties, the heir gets the title, if the tie is between the heirs, then it's usually a game of Tankard Basher that decides.

Ruling and guiding their settlement.
Benefits
The settlement treasury (taxes), and political power.

The crown of the settlement, signet ring.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Not all Lords must take the Dwarvish Oath towards the High Dwarf (but they need to swear it to someone on election), and those that supported someone else are allowed to rebel and gather support against the current High Dwarf.
