The Cursed City
Its true name, Croí An Bandia Ar, has been lost in time to people outside of the city and is mostly used by it's residents. Compared to the rest of the planet it is the most advanced city, taking on a Steam Punk style of clothes and technology. Somehow they managed to make a portal that connects them to other planets, resulting in receiving visitors from these places. Newcomers only stay within the city walls for the hostility for their strangeness is great.
The city would've been sacked and burn if it wasn't rumored that it was protected by the Mother Goddess Danu. No one knows why the Goddess has taken a liking to the place, but because of her protection it has remained. Guards are very strict in any "foreigners' leaving the city, they have to be able to easily pass off as a native or else they aren't allowed to leave. They've also been known to help spread the rumors of there being nothing beyond the walls, making many believe there isn't much more to the planet than the city they came into.
