Dakota Kayit is a trainee psychologist. However, she had to give up her interests to take care of her ill mother.

Dakota is very thoughtful and empathetic, due to the fact that she can read minds. She is also quite sensitive, as she also feels overwhelming pain and hurt if she touches an object with a dark history behind it.
Dakota is happy to help anyone in need and to be a comforting listener whenever someone needs it. However, she is often known to sideline her interests for others, a point she often makes to people she thinks are going down the same path.

Motivation

Dakota is one of the many people who want to take the ancient technology for themselves. To her, the tech is the key to finding the Sentinels, so they can heal her mother. She wasn't convinced they were alive, but was left with very few options after many medicines didn't work.

Dreams

Dakota also plans on rediscovering the lost species of the world, and wants to learn their ways of living and their cultures.

Mother

Dakota is very close to her mother, but has grown quite annoyed of all her demands. This has made her resentful as a result, and has strained their relationship. Her mother also wasn't happy with her daughter leaving, and was worried she wouldn't return safely.

Eleni Vallakis

Dakota is initially antagonistic towards Eleni Vallakis, as they both want the technology for themselves. Their relations improve over time, when she helps Eleni with her quest to find the Sentinels.

Solomon Duskarow

Solomon was originally annoyed at Eleni for bringing in more people to join them, which annoyed Dakota as she wanted to help. She disliked his sarcastic personality and thought he was annoying. Over time, she began to understand why he behaved the way he did and empathised with his struggles.
