Mahla, the Eternal Fountain Pen

An Heirloom for the Refined Servants of Neklian

Mahla, the Eternal Fountain Pen is intricate and beautiful writing tool which has been passed from one Refined Servant to the next for centuries. The last person to own the pen was Isadore Ravenswood, the last Refined Servant of Neklian. The pen wasn't given to a new person after that, since no new refined servant had been appointed at the time of his and the Court of Isadore disappeared. Currently, the pen is in the possession of the Dysvollean Archeological Society
Mahla, the Eternal Fountain Pen must have been crafted by someone both well verrsed in intricate work with metals as well as someone who had certain magical talents.

A Highly Unique Writing Tool

The fountain pen is one of a kind. It was a gift given to one of the earliest refined servants who decided that it should be passed on to their successor and the successor after that as well.   It is no longer known who was the giver of this wondrous gift. There are multiple theories and some speculate it was given by powerful Spell-caster. The most outrageous theory is that it was a gift from the Fae, but they haven't been on good standing with the humans for many years and very few instances of contact have been recorded.

Ornate and Stunning

The pen is made from gold and silver and has some gemstones incorporated as well.   The two metals form beautiful and swirly patterns where their seams meet.   Furthermore, Mahla is finely engraved with both what seems to be writing and symbols.   The cap of the pen is decorated with glimmering gems and a large deep berry coloured gem sits at the very top of the cap as well as another slightly smaller one at the very end of the pen.

Magical properties

The most notable feature of Mahla, the eternal fountain pen, is that it never runs out of ink.   Many have inspected the pen and the guess as to why stems to that it is magically connected to a giant container of ink where it draws it from.   One day it might run out, probably, but no one knows if that is sooner or later. Another thing no one is able to discern is where this supposed container could be located.

This pen is well known for its beautiful and intricate design, and also for its strange magical properties.   But another thing that makes this somewhat famous is, that it was the pen Isadore Ravenswood used to write his last message with before he disappeared.

The pen sounds lovely, and for some reason the fact that people think there must be an ink well it draws from is insanely funny to me. Great article :)

You should check out the The 5 Shudake, if you want of course.
