Shilnae Epii

Eccentric and Skilled

Shilnae Epii is a world-renowned chef, hailing from a family known for their incredible skills in fish cooking. Her father, the late Henne Epii, taught her everything he knew, and she expanded on that knowledge and created new and exciting dishes.

Life

Shilnae was born in 1523 ADF in Yeleni. Her mother died during childbirth and so she was raised by her father and her grandparents. She lived most of her life in the fish restaurant, helping out with chores and entertaining the guest.   Even as a child, she had an eccentric mind and said the most interesting things. Many of the regulars at the Bluewater Delight saw her as a sort of mascot, and they often brought her gifts when they stopped by. So while she might've lacked a mother, she had lots of people in her life who cared about her.   As a young woman, she began her official apprenticeship as a chef, under her father. He taught her for 6 years, before deciding that she was capable enough to stand on her own two feet. During the first few years of her career, she worked in another establishment as a cook, but when her father became older, she returned to the Bluewater Delight to help him. When he was on his deathbed, he entrusted the restaurant to her, and it became her life's mission to keep it afloat.

The Bluewater Delight

Shilane runs and owns the Bluewater Delight, a restaurant in Yeleni that has been in operation for over one hundred years. The restaurant was owned by Henne's parents before him, and it is important to Shilnae to keep that legacy alive. The restaurant offers dishes made from original family recipes from her grandparents as well as recipes made by her own father and herself. She also invents new dishes regularly and offers them on the menu to see if any will survive the test of time and become true classics.
