Cult of Wolf Slayer

In the Itude Empire, religions were not easily founded and were usually frowned upon if they were not in favor of Vavheia, the Dark or one of the ten Fates. With Wolf Slayer, the empire ignored this ideology due to the vast popularity Wolf Slayer garnered with his slayings of the werewolves and voicing that Vavheia would not want to see the bloodshed drawn out any longer than need be. Wolf Slayer has no problem with this cult following him around as long as they don't get in the way of his practice.

Vavheia, the Dark: The main celestial of the empire and the mother of all vampires. She is the reason vampires exist. Vavheia is also said to have sent Wolf Slayer as a beacon of hope against the Bavara, the Moon's might. Her followers listen to her call and seek to prove her innocence.   Wolf Slayer: They worship Wolf Slayer as if he was the only being who truly understood their beliefs: werewolves should not exist. The Slayers also view Wolf Slayer as a "divine" being sent from Vavheia to incur vengeance from Empress Sin-Yeona Cheonsa.

Ranks

Name of Rank
Divine: The head of the church. He is like the Pope, but the Divine is said to be connected straight to Vavheia. While the Divine is not at every church, he is expected to make appearances at least thrice a year.   High Dark Priest: The highest rank before the Divine. They are the only ones with the authority to complete ceremonies, such as being conducted into the cult.   Dark Priest: The third-in-command are the priests, who can give sermons. They rely on the Wolf Slayer's guidance to know which sermons to perform and what teachings to give.   Bishop: Usually in charge of a diocese, they are empowered to confer holy orders.   Chancellor: A strict lawyer who represents the cult in legal matters. The chancellor is the chief record-keeper of a diocese, eparchy, or their equivalent.   Servants: The very followers of the cult. They are requested to appear at every service four times a week (each evening on Krewsa, Reslu, Yiorsen, and Weiyu).   Exotic Pet: The slaves of the cult. They are merely for decoration and cleaning the place.

Main Headquarters

The main cult temple is in Vol'nische, near the town square. Wolf Slayer has a throne atop a small flight of steps within the main hall, where seventeen pews line the rest of the hall in two rows. Dark purples, reds, and blacks are seen in draperies, banners, and the Slayers' robes, while silver is used in nearly everything, such as candle holders, dishes, and the rims of columns. The place is lit solely by candlelight or braziers.   The cult members have bedrooms built like dorm rooms, with four beds per room. Wolf Slayer, as the Divine, is given a private room similar to a presidential suite. Finally, the Exotic Pets are forced to sleep in cells with semi-moldy straw far below the cult.

Wolf Slayer decides their punishment, which usually comes in the form of whippings with their metallic weakness or a branding of "WS" somewhere on their body, always visible. When Wolf Slayer cannot be there, the Exotic Pet's punishment can be more severe, such as having a finger cut off or an eye gouged out.

The Founding

The Cult of Wolf Slayer was founded in 1853 EoL when Wolf Slayer publicly slew a group of werewolf prisoners right in the center of Locust Village. Isaiah Bladebone, a local vampire peasant, witnessed the slaughtering. Later that night, he started gathering as many people who would listen and preached the sensations he had when watching Wolf Slayer complete an execution such as that. He encouraged the others to join him in setting up a church of Wolf Slayer, claiming the only way Wolf Slayer could have such power would be if he were sent from Vavheia, the Dark herself. For a while, nobody listened to him, afraid of what the government would do if they realized the talk of a church being built in honor of a random assassin was spreading around. Isaiah ignored their warnings and continued talking, bringing up dedication to Vavheia for giving them their savior.   It wasn't long before the government finally did get ahold of Isaiah and told him to shut it down. He voiced his opinions and refused to be silenced. Eventually, Wolf Slayer heard Isaiah's words and requested to the Raven Senate that Isaiah's "cult" to Wolf Slayer brought no harm, and it was quite amusing, to say the least. He also explained how Isaiah's words were the talk of Vavheia, imploring a belief that Wolf Slayer was the only person capable of ending this war. It took a few months, but Isaiah was freed from his charges and given permission to create his cult if he could raise funds for it. In the end, Isaiah gathered the Itudean Silver not only to build the temple but also spread the word via the newspapers in other cities. Soon, each capital city had its very own temple built in honor of Wolf Slayer.
Other Views
Every member of the Retribution Alliance sees the cult as a threat to all species, dubbing it an "anarchist abomination against Bavara." To the Moonlight Expanse, the cult is more of a mockery of how easy Wolf Slayer kills werewolves. They openly call for it to be wiped out.

Cool! I guess it shows how people can be driven to religion or a deity in particular when it is crucial to their survival
