Guardian / Sentinel

Guardians, or Sentinels, were once people who took up the mantle of guarding the portal gates from threats. Usually trained from birth, the Guardians had access to magicks long since forgotten and always had a sworn oath to live by. Most Guardians were Paladins before becoming a full-fledged Guardian. The Guardians dressed in the appearance of a barbarian, with very little armor, yet thanks to their prowess in magick, creating magick armor had major advantages in battle.
Around the time the portals started become infrequent and forgotten, the Guardians started giving up and returning to their Paladin backgrounds, where they continued to serve in the name of Tryoh, Fate of Magick at the Followers of the Arcane.
Other than these notes, not much is known about the Guardians.
