Uncle Freddy

Fredrick Collins, or Uncle Freddy as he likes to be called, prefers to stay in his tavern, The Bleeding Rose compared to dealing with the socialites in Vol'nische. He has a group of close friends (Zion Reose, Kiara Fern, and Audrey Vespera) that perform with him in the band called Society Rejects, but only when Zion is available. What Freddy won't tell anyone is that his main priority is help protect the Gears Rebellion within the Bleeding Rose from any authority figures that dare to enter the travern, especially those from the surface as the Bleeding Rose is located in Serenity.
Zion is Freddy's ultimate best friend and parton of the Bleeding Rose, having funded the remodelization of it when Freddy was looking to open up a place that could double as a workspace and a secret headquarters for the Gears Rebellion. The two are thick as thieves and often plotting the next moves of the rebellion whenever Zion gets the chance to pop by. The rest of the time, Freddy runs both the Bleeding Rose and the Gears Rebellion, as he's the second-in-command to the rebellion.

Zion Reose: "Why don't you open up a tavern? You seem pretty happy helping others. Plus, I wouldn't mind a drink or two from an ol' bud."

Uncle Freddy: "Seriously? Where do ya think I can scrounge up some crowns? Even if this is supposed to be paradise away from the war, it still costs ya an' arm an' a leg. I don't have-"

Zion Reose: "Don't worry 'bout it. I'll fund you."

Personality

Freddy has always been noted to be kind and understanding, but also fun. Whenever there's a party in the Bleeding Rose, know that Freddy has started it or, at least, encouraged it. He's extremely friendly toward those who show respect and don't try to start fights. His loyalty is strictly to his tavern and to the Gears Rebellion. Nothing will change that.
If Freddy can attempt it, he'll ban adults during the day to let kids and teenagers hang around for some fun activities, and so the parents can go relax at a nearby spa or somewhere else they prefer. During this time, he'll make sure to lock up the liquor and any dangerous objects or foods. The second someone dares to threaten a child in front of him, he'll become protective and won't be afraid to break out his club to bash them over the head while the kids hunker upstairs in the break lounge of the Bleeding Rose. His charismatic nature with kids and others customers has earned him the nickname "Uncle Freddy" since he treats everyone like they're family. Usually, he's dubbed the "fun uncle."

Trauma

Freddy witnessed his family get killed by a group of griffins at a young age. After that, he could not stomach the war nor the torment it brought families. He vowed to one day end the war and abolish any formed of torture. Seeing his family die did not make him want to sign up for the war out of revenge, like most people. Instead, Freddy was filled with pity for the griffins who could turn out so cruel and slaughter an entire family, including Freddy's newborn baby brother.

The Bleeding Rose

The Bleeding Rose has been Freddy's dream job for a long time. He craves taking care of people and making sure people have a place to stay if they need it. He's the type of person who will see a homeless person and give them a room to stay in for free and have them work the bar or maybe clean up the place in order to save up money to get a place of their own.
When Freddy was first offered the idea of a tavern, he never thought it would be possible due to his upbringing, but with the help of Zion, the Bleeding Rose came to be in one of the most famous spots of Serenity. Freddy chose the Bleeding Rose's location because of the bones of the dragon skeleton resembling the perfect spot to grow climbing red roses, which help accentuate the name of the tavern.

Society Rejects

The Society Rejects are another factor. During the construction of the tavern, Zion and Freddy were looking for entertainment for the travern and could come up with anything. Zion knew that Freddy was good with a guitar and Zion expressed his love of singing. At first, they thought they could be a two-man band, but quickly changed that when Zion suggested having auditions to see if anyone else would fit for any form of entertainment.
The auditions lasted a couple of months before Freddy and Zion decided on two people that seemed to enjoy the idea of being part of a band. The two new members were Kiara and Audrey. Ever since joining together, their band has taken off and the few vinyl records they have created have been spread throughout the world, causing their music to go platinum in quite a few countries.
