The Cold Skins

Cult-like group that have revoked Ember and avoid using fire in any shape or form.

Origins

It is believed their founding members were survivors of a massive fire that occurred in one of the many valleys of the Spine Mountains many years ago, the same fire that is said to have created the Twisted Valley. A fire that had psychologically scarred them so badly, that they swore to never use fire again, nor to stay in one place long enough out of fire taking everything they had once again.

Lifestyle

Aside from basic tools used for survival and clothing, the Cold Skins live and travel as lightly as possible. Any housing they build is only temporary and meant to provide protection and shelter at that moment. They only use Glow stone as sources of light and in regards to food, they eat mostly eat raw foods: cooked food is a luxury they can only get by either trading...or stealing...from other Daulka. Trade and theft is the main recourse for acquiring replacement tools that are made with metal.

Beliefs

Their fear of Ember is so great, that they will refuse to interact with any Daulka that has it's mark, believing that so much as speaking to such an individual may risk fire destroying their lives once again. There are rumors that claim they will exile or even kill those born among them that have said mark appear upon their Awakening.

Relations with others

Initially, they were viewed with some pity, as many understood how the mental scars the tragedy inflicted upon them could affect people. However, over time and as they became more extreme with their beliefs and tactics to survive, they've become viewed with disgust, crazy and even dangerous.
They've become more prone to simply stealing from others, instead of trading. In addition, some of starting hearing rumors that the group has started to believe all Ember marked Daulka are a threat to the world itself. A belief that has drawn the attention of both the Rak and the Order, prompting both to try to keep an eye on the group. However, with their tendency to constantly move around, that has been difficult.
