King Martok

In the heart of the Northern Mountains, where the peaks pierced the sky like jagged teeth and the air was thin and crisp, lived a race of dwarves renowned for their strength, their resilience, and their unwavering loyalty to their clans. Among these dwarves, there was a king named Martok, a man of legendary stature and unmatched wisdom.
Martok had ascended to the throne after a lifetime of service to his people. He had fought in countless battles, his mighty warhammer smashing through his enemies like an anvile on goblin toes. He had led his clan through times of famine and drought, his wisdom guiding them through the darkest of hours. And he had always been a fierce defender of the dwarven way of life, a way of life that valued honor, courage, and the unbreakable bonds of kinship.
When Martok was elected as king of the Dwarves of the Northern Alliance, he forsook his clan name in an effort to promote unity. He wanted to show the dwarves of all clans that they were all part of one great family, and that they should stand together as one against the forces of evil.
As king, Martok ruled with a firm but fair hand. He was always just, always merciful, and always willing to listen to the concerns of his people. He was a wise and compassionate leader, and he was loved and respected by all who knew him.
But even the strongest of kings must face their own mortality. And so it was that, after a long and eventful life, Martok passed away, leaving behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, and compassion. He was mourned by his people, but they knew that his spirit would live on in the hearts of all who had known him.
The dwarves of the clans would never forget their beloved king, the man who had led them through so many trials and tribulations. They would always remember him as a wise and just ruler, a fierce warrior, and a true friend. And they would always strive to live up to the high standards that he had set for them.

What is an NPC

If you’d like to play, but want to reduce costs, then you can sign up as an NPC or Monster. If you choose to play as an NPC or monster, you may be given a role (perhaps more than one). You can specify a combat or non-combat role. You don’t have to choose a class and culture as an NPC, we will choose one for you. You will receive double experience points, standard starting gold, and are eligible for Royalty Points. You will also get an entry at half price.

THE PURPOSE

Monsters, NPCs, and Staff allow the LARP to run smoothly and help players who don't know exactly what they want to play, or that want to help, and/or need help with discounts to take part in the LARP.

The BIG Difference

between an NPC and an Adventurer is that an NPC’s primary job is to help the story move forward and to help players. NPCs fill jobs like healers, essential townsfolk roles, etc.
