Corvette

The smallest classification of ship fielded by the Imperial Fleet, and making up the largest number of individual vessels. Serving primarily as a screening ship, protecting larger vessels against fighter and missile attacks. Some more specialized variants have been produced such as the Minotaur using missile batteries to screen against frigate attack. With high speed, small size, and great maneuverability corvettes make excellent picket ships, and scout craft as well as finding their place within large formations.

Model Variants

-Manticore Class Corvette: A small nimble fighter screening vessel, acting as mobile point defense for larger vessels, as well as hunting down pirate vessels while in defense fleets.

Minotaur Class Gunship: A slightly larger model corvette, the Minotaur serves in a more traditional ship to ship role. Being used to counter quick moving frigates and freighters frequently employed by the numerous pirate factions of the Rim.
