History

Perriston is a town of sturdy, stone buildings, with most of its structures built to withstand the battering of siege weaponry. The town is surrounded by a high stone wall, manned by soldiers who are trained to defend their town against any invading force. The wall is reinforced with towers and battlements, and a moat runs around the perimeter, filled with water from the Periphery River. Inside the walls, the streets are wide and clean, lined with shops and businesses that cater to the needs of soldiers and mercenaries. Blacksmiths, armorers, and weapon-smiths are some of the most common shops in town, providing the soldiers with the necessary equipment to defend the kingdom.   Lake Perrin, located just outside the town, is a beautiful sight to behold. The lake is large enough to accommodate a fleet of small boats, and the soldiers stationed on its shore keep a watchful eye for any signs of trouble. The lake is also a source of fresh fish, which is a staple of the town's diet. Despite the military focus of the town, there are some places for leisure and relaxation. The local tavern, The Broken Sword, is a popular spot for soldiers to unwind after a long day of training or guarding. The inn, Valor’s Rest, offers comfortable lodging for visitors passing through Perriston.   The people of Perriston are known for their unwavering loyalty to the kingdom and their fierce determination to protect their fellow citizens. They take their duties seriously and are always on the lookout for any signs of danger. Visitors to the town are treated with suspicion, but as long as they behave themselves and show respect for the locals, they will be safe within the walls of Perriston.
