The first Gods began to create the world, and in the process, created natural magic to run the world.

A group of mortal arcane spellcasters warped reality and the nature of arcane magic in an epic ritual.
Part of the Curse that created arcane necromancy, the night of blood was the night the Cult of the Arcane ritually sacrificed any divine spellcaster serving a death god that they could find, to steal their divine necromantic power to fuel the ritual. Specifically, they targeted followers of Paeris, Ilyrana and Inia.
