Netartes is an oceanic deity associated with marine wildlife. He is said to be the father of the The Erryndia and a brief mate to Martieri. In legends, after the birth of their final daughter, Martieri tore Netartes to pieces, spreading his remains along the ocean floor, creating a great reef that is said to currently home their offspring. Netartes is usually considered to be a dying-and-rising god.
