Haven is a settlement run by Evelyn Harper. There are 34 people residing in the settlement, 19 women, 10 men, and 5 children.  

Settlement Details

The settlement is comprised of forested space and scattered clearings. Several buildings from prior to the outbreak have been maintained and used as residences.

Defenses

The northern section of the settlement has been fenced in using various materials. Chain-link fencing, wood to block line of sight, and heavy objects, like old cars just inside for reinforcement.  

Leadership & Administration

Command Center: A central hub where Evelyn Harper coordinates the group’s activities, plans expeditions, and manages overall security. This space could also serve as a meeting area for leadership discussions and strategy sessions.

Medical Facilities
Infirmary: A well-equipped medical area where Sophia Hayes (Nurse) and Leo Hayes (Paramedic) provide medical care. The infirmary is stocked with both modern and herbal remedies, thanks to Hazel Reed (Herbalist) and Charlotte Parker (Botanist).  
Agriculture & Food Supply
Crops: Managed by Charlotte Parker (Botanist) and Tristan Lane (Gardener), this area is crucial for food production.
Animal Husbandry: Noah Reed (Former Farmer) oversees a small livestock area for raising chickens, goats, or other animals, providing eggs, milk, and occasionally meat. There is a pair of livestock guardian dogs that help protect the small herd.  
Food Preparation
Community Kitchen: Lily Coleman (Cook) prepares meals for the group here, utilizing fresh produce, foraged plants from Isla Rogers (Forager), and game hunted by Ivy Clarke (Hunter). Tessa and Ethan Fisher contribute fish caught from the lake.  
Shelter & Living Quarters
Housing: Various shelters and homes built and maintained by James Wilson (Carpenter) and Ruby Walker (Builder). The structures are sturdy and designed to withstand the elements, with assistance from the group’s blacksmith, Henry Evans, for metalwork and tools.  
Security & Defense
Security Outposts: Manned by various members of the settlement, this is where the group monitors for threats. A small house was converted into storage, which includes weapons. Defensive fortifications around the settlement are regularly maintained.  
Energy & Utilities
Power Grid: Managed by Connor Blake (Electrician), the settlement has a simple power grid, powered by several solar panels. This provides electricity for essential functions like lighting and refrigeration.
Water Purification System: Overseen by Owen Mitchell (Water Engineer), this system ensures that the group has access to clean water from the lake. It likely includes filters, pumps, and possibly a small water tower or cistern.  
Crafting & Maintenance
Blacksmith’s Forge: Henry Evans (Blacksmith) uses a former garage as a smithy to craft and repair tools, weapons, and other metal items necessary for the settlement’s survival.
Workshop & Garage: Nora Davis (Mechanic) uses another garage a an area to repair vehicles and machinery, keeping the group’s transport and equipment in working order.  
Fishing Operations
Fishing: Tessa and Ethan Fisher, along with their daughter Chloe, manage a dock where they fish and bring in fresh catch to supplement the group’s diet. They also make use of a pontoon to traverse the lake. They will occasionally seed the lake with a variety of other fish to help ensure the supply of fish remains consistent.  
Education & Training
Schoolhouse: Harper Lee (Teacher) runs a small school out of one of the homes, where the settlement’s children, including Lucy Harper, Ben Hayes, Ella Davis, Sam Wilson, and Chloe Fisher, receive education. This includes both traditional learning and practical skills needed for survival.
Training Grounds: At the center of the peninsula, they conduct training for the residents. Evelyn Harper, Zoe Matthews, and Jack Sullivan train the group in combat, self-defense, and tactical strategies.  
Mental & Emotional Wellbeing
Therapy and Counseling Space: Grace Walker (Therapist) provides mental health support to the group, helping them cope with the stress and trauma of their post-apocalyptic world.  
Foraging & Hunting
Hunting Cabin: Ivy Clarke (Hunter) uses this as a base for her hunting expeditions, bringing in fresh game. Isla Rogers (Forager) uses it to store and prepare edible plants and mushrooms she collects from the surrounding area.  
Communal Areas
Community Hall: A central gathering place where the group meets for meals, discussions, and social activities. It’s also where Molly Porter (Former Lawyer) helps mediate disputes and keeps order within the community.
Documentary Archive: Managed by Elsie Quinn (Former Journalist), this is where the group’s history, stories, and important information are documented, preserving their legacy.  
Sewing & Textile Work
Seamstress Workshop: Amelia Brooks (Seamstress) uses this area to repair and create clothing and gear, ensuring the group stays warm and protected.  
Fishing Operations
Fishermen’s Hut: Where Tessa Fisher and her wife Stella prepare and store fish, as well as mend nets and fishing gear.
