History: Halgrave's sister Aeirina married Arntoson Wilhelm and died when her children were young. Halgrave took in Aeirina's sons Bruinan and Branor and raised them along with his own children. He was often harsh towards Bruinan, recognizing his lack of martial skills. As governor of Aistwald, the border province, Halgrave dedicated his life to defending Hangard against goblin attacks. He fought in many battles of the 30-year Jingthol Conflict against the goblins. During one battle, when Bruinan was 14, Halgrave was killed in combat with Montenhelm warlocks while trying to protect Bruinan. This played a major role in shaping Bruinan's life.
