Dead Start Arc Part 1.
The Dead Start Arc takes place throughout the entire of season 1, so I split it into two parts to go into deeper detail and to give more prospective for the audience as the Arc progresses. In Dead Start Part 1 the main characters are just meeting each other for the first time in this newly dead world. The main story is taking place about 2 months into the apocalypse, while also going over what happened the day the apocalypse started.
Beginning
The Arc Begins with Episode 1 introducing Cole and his father Lebone surviving alone. Cole decides to check out a rumored safe community called Calverton that turns out to be overrun by the dead. Cole then finds Ace there shooting zombies and they are faced with more zombies due to Ace luring zombies to them because of the shooting. They find themselves pinned in a dark hallway with a locked door thats chained closed from the outside. Two Tanks are walking to them while both Ace and Cole holding onto one bullet each. They then turn on each other and point their pistols at one another while two Tanks slowly close in on them and a closer regular silent zombie walks up on them from the other side. That regular zombie is then killed by Dash with an arrow inches away from Ace and Cole. Dash is at the opened chained door that Donte opened with his chain cutters. Ace and Cole is saved and rushes to Donte's car. Dash and Donte then have Ace and Cole help save their people that also have come to Calverton to see if there were living people there. Lebone also shows up to Calverton to check on Cole. Lebone finds Ryan escaping and abandoning his people, Lebone and Ryan lock eyes and cross paths while Lebone steps in to help. Lebone saves them and Cole, Ace, Dash and Donte rolls in and help everyone on the way out. The group of survivors offer a place for Ace, Cole and Lebone a place to stay since they helped saved them. Once they get to their camp Ace reunites with his family.
Middle
Once Ace reunites with his family, Brenda comforts Ace with a hug and cries while saying she thought he and their mother was dead while Ace stands their in numbness. The show then tells Ace's backstory starting from the day the apocalypse started. Ace's backstory consist of Ace starting the day with birthday wishes from his mother over the phone while he is a work, but then the dead start to appear mid day. Ace makes his way home to see his family struggling to hold off the a couple of zombies and his mother getting bitten on the shoulder. Ace then rushes his mom to the hospital but instead he comes across a military man named Ian Clark. Ace begs for his help to take his mom to the hospital because she is bitten but Ian Clark has a different agenda, Ian Clark draws his gun at Ace and his mother and shoots at them, Ace reacts and shoots back while taking a couple of bullets himself. He then realizes his mother was shot and killed right in his arms. Ace is overfilled with confused anger as his vision blurs and then collapses passes out in shock. Zombies start to crowd the area and as one single zombie is closing in on Ace as he lies unconscious and it looks like Ace is doomed and then BOOM! a shot from afar snipes that close zombie. Ace then wakes up the next day and sees hes been saved by a woman named Melina. They grow close to each other within an a week of surviving together. Meanwhile whats currently happening the survivors are going on their second mission together to get gas at the gas station, this is a successful mission, no casualties. Ace and Cole are seeming to not get along because Ace believes Cole is military and Cole doesn't like Ace's gun ho attitude. So they continue to butt heads. Dash notices and questions Ace on what happened when Ace and Cole were pointing guns at each other but Ace doesn't respond.
End
Just about a week has pasted since our survivors met and some survivors are trying to get to know each other more by going over their past lives and sharing their experience on what happened the first day of the apocalypse. They story goes over Dash and Moon's, Donte and Saron's and also Jack and Annie's. There seems to be different groups of friends within the camp.
