Rumors and legends allude to the existence of the Animus Bell long before The Divergence, possibly as a tool of the gods.

The Great Bell War

The Animus Bell was the cause of conflict during The Great Bell War, ultimately falling into the hands of Leoro Verdan.

Animus

In the years following King Leoro's disappearance, the Animus Bell was in possession of Prince Parric. The young prince devised a plot to harvest souls using the bell in order to feed the monstrosity that had become of the former king.
With the power of the Animus Bell fully harnessed, Parric planned to reclaim the land just north of Verdana. He was ultimately thwarted by Ark Encels and the Animus Bell was destroyed by Rasper with the Sword of Kas.
