Those who lived in the time before The Great Flood might remember the day Princess Aurorax was born, the world smiled and even the gods themselves blessed the young princess, and it was like the world knew she was destined for greatness. And much of which was promised became truth after she became Empress. Most of her reign she spends dealing with injustices always finding solutions that seemingly pleased both sides, but for everything, she solves two more came up. Those who were rules by and served under her proclaimed her the best Empress who ever lived with the world becoming a more pleasant place for all to live, yet she didn't see it that way. The small things seem so significant when you fixate upon them and in the year leading up The Years of Rain she became isolated surrounding her only with those most loyal, her palace once charitable and warm now abandoned and cold and when she returned she was determined and disenfranchised with the gods, the beings that could solve all problems but wouldn't. So she would take faith in her own hands and become divine herself. This caused The Years of Rain and eventually the The Great Flood which would be her end.
